Serene Stories is operated under the Serene Slumbers brand.
1. Why we created this page
We understand that information about children is sensitive. This page explains, in simple language, how we use information about children. Our goal is to help parents feel confident about how their family's information is handled.
2. What information do we use?
When you set up a character, you may choose to provide:
- Child's first name (or nickname)
- Age
- Appearance
- Personality
- Interests and hobbies
- Favourite things
- Story preferences
Parents choose what information to provide. Only a name is normally needed — and the less personal information you share, the better.
3. Why do we use this information?
This information is used only to:
- Generate personalised stories.
- Remember saved characters.
- Make future stories feel consistent.
It is never used:
- For advertising.
- To build marketing profiles.
- To sell personal information.
- To track children across websites or apps.
4. Who can see my child's information?
- Stories and character profiles are private to the account owner.
- Other users cannot see them.
- They are only shared if you deliberately share a story link.
- You remain in control of sharing at all times.
5. AI story generation
When you create a story, the information you provide is securely sent to trusted AI providers to generate the story and illustrations.
They process this information only to create your story and are not allowed to use it for advertising.
6. What should I avoid entering?
To keep your family safe, please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information such as:
- Home addresses
- School names
- Medical information
- Government identification numbers
- Financial information
- Passwords
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
We recommend using general descriptions whenever possible — for example, "loves football" rather than naming a specific club or location.
7. Is Serene Stories for children to use?
Serene Stories is designed for adults. Children do not create accounts. Adults create and manage stories for the children in their care.
8. Can I delete my child's information?
Yes — you can:
- Delete individual character profiles at any time.
- Delete stories whenever you wish.
- Delete your account from Settings.
- Contact support to request deletion.
Deleted information will be removed from active systems as soon as reasonably possible, subject to any legal or technical retention requirements.
9. International users
Families around the world use Serene Stories. We take reasonable steps to protect children's information regardless of where you live. Some information may be processed in countries other than your own where needed to operate the service safely.
